As always SLT SHRED delivers a hardCORE workout with a total tone and sweat factor! I went to the 6pm class taught by Erin (my fav) and it was a bit crowded, but it's only because the class is THAT good. I still had room to get in a solid workout. This is by far the most challenging of the SLT Yoga classes, but the music and results make it the most rewarding! Highly recommend.

This is one of the most intense yoga/pilates classes out there. Erin combines yoga with strengthening to the degree that makes any other pilates or mat class look like a walk in the park. Even some of SLT's yoga instructors have told me this is one of the only classes they've ever taken that's actually changed their body. Between the numerous planks, burpies, lunges on gliders and push-ups, you'll definitely feel like you got an amazing full body workout after this class. They don't offer a ton of times yet, but I am 100% going to try to make this a regular class on my schedule!

Box was changed to Tone, so ended up being very similar to the Shred class that SLT offers in NYC, but Natalie taught it more like a boot camp, where you would transition between moves rapidly and do high cardio moves for 30-second intervals. I thought the class was amazing because it was just as intense as any SLT class I've taken in the city but had more of a cardio aspect to it, so definitely try it out at Surf Lodge or look out for Natalie's Shred class in the city!

Shred is definitely one of the toughest yoga or pilates-related classes I've ever taken. It works every muscle group using your own body weight and light weights, while you flow between movements in a nonstop workout routine. It combines moves from SLT's flow yoga and megaformer, along with some moves that remind me of a lotte berk method and kickboxing class. It's extremely effective, will definitely leave you exhausted and sore! Plus it's on the Surf Lodge deck, so just hope there's a nice breeze and not too much heat because you will be working hard!

The SLT classes at Surf Lodge are a MUST! The classes are held outside on the back deck overlooking Fort Pond in Montauk. Its worth going for the scenery alone, but the class and instructors will keep you coming back. I took a 10am Yoga FLOW class and loved it! The pace is faster than most yoga practices, incorporating a lot of pilates and stretching/toning movements. It's challenging while enjoyable and the results are worth the burn. Fun music (think top-hits, techno & throw-back mash-ups) plays throughout the class which makes for a relaxed setting. My class was a mix of newbies and repeat fans (about 12 ppl total). I highly recommend trying the SLT Yoga FLOW classes at Surf Lodge (now offering SLT SHRED, too!), but if you can't make it out East then hit up their NYC studio instead. Your body will thank you!

What could be more fun than yoga right on Fort Pond in Montauk on the Surf Lodge deck?? This class was awesome, Erin's signature SLY Yoga class but outdoors in the summer was such a blast. Definitely recommend going earlier rather than later if the weather is warm, as it really heat up by the end of class. Great music and amazing workout. Would highly recommend this if you are out there this summer!

The Megaformer class is small so the instructor is attentive to each student's ability. A great workout for toning, stretching and strengthening muscles--works the whole body and you definitely feel the burn during and after. It's on the costlier side ($40/class) so hopefully they'll offer promotions soon. Only downside -there's no showers or locker rooms at the studio. All in all, I'd go back!

SLT Flow rocks! I take yoga on average 3 times a week, and sans music, it can become rather dull. Erin provides a challenging and upbeat yoga practice, fully in tune with each and every individual. I don't think I've ever been this sore from yoga. Love it! PS - thank you, GoRecess for hooking this up :)

Love this class! Great workout with the perfect combination of a fast-pace that keeps you moving and the traditional stretching / benefits of yoga. Would definitely recommend!

Love this intense, fast-paced and fun version of power yoga. First and foremost, the music is INCREDIBLE--not your typical Enya and om-like ambiance, but instead all popular songs with a great beat. And the best part was it kept you moving, because the class can get intense quickly! This was my second time doing YogaFLOW and both times I sweat more than any other yoga I've ever taken (except for really Bikram) and the room isn't even heated, it's just all-around a great workout. It's the perfect yoga for busy people who like efficient workouts, but I'd also say for workout nuts who may like yoga but have never been able to sit through the 90 minutes of breathing and meditating. You get the best of both worlds, plenty of stretching and flexibility benefits, while also getting a killer workout. Only downside is they don't have showers at the studio, so keep that in mind as you're booking a class, but would 100% recommend checking this out!

Seriously one of the best workouts I've ever had. Completely different workout and I honestly had no idea what to expect, but am SO glad I tried it out! Loved every second of it, and can't wait to do it again. The class all takes place on a machine called a Megaformer, which consists of springs, pullies, straps, bands, etc etc. A little intimidating from the looks of it, but fortunately the class is small so you get plenty of assistance using the machine. Think extreme pilates, where your muscles are shaking during every single move it's so intense. Like pilates, the core is a focus, but every move involves other muscle groups at the same time, helping balance, strength and flexibility while your core is burning throughout the class. I liked this so much more than pilates or barre, because it is much more focused on using just your body weight, with the machine assisting your every move, and your strength and flexibility are worked on throughout the class, without having to pause between moves to take a break to stretch, or drastically switch body parts you are working. It is so fluid and you are working so many aspects of your body at once, it felt like such a complete, full body workout and I'm not sure how any other class will ever even come close to as good of a workout. Amanda was my teacher, and given she is the founder she was obviously an amazing instructor. The attention was personalized enough that you weren't lost throughout the class but she was not in your face, and was only encouraging the entire time. I was sore immediately after the class and am sure I will be even more sore tomorrow, but don't know how it's taken me so long to find this class and am so glad I finally did. It's the best kept secret in NYC workouts, for now at least! I love love loved the class and can't wait to go again, already signed up for 2 more classes.
